From 1990 to 2010, the volume of container traffic increased drastically across the world and within Russia too. The growth in freight flows demanded the creation of a new, technically superior infrastructure, posing a unique challenge to design engineers among others.
The container sector continues to surge forward today, and in the drive for improved efficiency technologies develop and evolve, and vessels grow ever larger.
Morstroytechnology can be justifiably called the best Russian container terminal design and engineering company. As things have turned out, Morstroytechnology employees have been involved in the design and engineering of practically all of Russia’s container terminals, beginning with the very first. We therefore know all the technical specifics, complexities and potential pitfalls of this type of facility.
Among our most recently completed projects are the reconstruction of the storage facilities and quays at the Novoroslesexport port in Novorossiisk, the technical upgrading of the wharves at NUTEP, which can now dock the largest container vessels on the Black Sea, and the Ust-Luga container terminal in the Leningrad region. In 2015 work commenced on the Yuzhnouralski trasport and logistics complex in the Chelyabinsk region, which is being constructed to our design.
