The design solutions provide an increase in capacity up to 600,000 TEU per year by increasing the water depth of the berths, the introduction of new technology using RTG cranes, and improvements to both road and rail connections.
Principal characteristics of the project are:
- efficient land utilization;
- reductions to costs and environ-mental impact due to the use of electric powered RTG cranes.
