The berth is located on the inner side of the southwest pier in the protected harbour area of the Sochi cargo terminal.
The berth is 80m in length with a pier level of 2.05m and seabed level minus 9.2m according to the Baltic elevation system.
The berth design is gravity type with the use of large diameter steel metal envelopes filled with a sand and gravel mix.
The design solution uses quick mounting elements – large diameter steel envelopes – to execute the project within a tight time schedule and with minimum capital expenditure from the federal budget.
