Site location: 6, Korabelnaya St., St Petersburg, Severnaya Wharf shipyard.

Principal Designer: KB ViPS OJSCMorstroytechnology’s work on the project includes the development of hydraulic engineering installations.

The western berth functions differently depending on the stage of the project, whether still under construction or already in operation.

As the construction of the berth is completed, it will become a part of the dam used for draining the foundation of the well dock construction site.

The construction of the permanent part of the facility is part of phase 1 of the project implementation.

Phase 2 will include the construction of a temporary (dismountable) part, well dock and connection section to the northern berth.

The general design documentation has been prepared and expert approvals have been received for Phase 1 of the project.

Current state

For the foundation to be drained, the perimeter wall must be constructed as a closed loop. Once the construction of the well dock is completed, the space behind walls will be filled with earth and the temporary part of the berth dismantled.

Dredging work is undertaken alongside the berth wall to allow vessels of the design tonnage to leave the dock.

The berth is intended for anchorage of tug-boats with the following dimensions: length – 17.37m; beam – 3.8m; draft – 1.36m.
