The 15th International Transport and Logistic Conference “TransRussia 2010” has taken place on 27-29 April, 2010 in Moscow.

The main topics were:

  • Transport development in Russia during market instability period
  • Transit potential of Baltic States
  • Rail cargo traffic market on the final stage of reforming
  • Sea cargo traffic and ports development
  • The role of logistic complex in cargo traffic market's development
  • Hazardous cargoes transportation: organization of safety, management optimization
  • The efficiently of border entry points working as a turning point of international traffic development
  • Telecommunication and IT technology for competitive ability of transport operators supporting

There were some speeches during the panel discussion (topic - "Transport and logistic sector of Baltic. Turning to the better?"):

  • Arnaut Lugtmeijer, the President of the Board,VOPAK E.O.S, Estonia - "Oil and oil products transportation in Baltic region. The current situation and perspectives";
  • Girt Verner,the Chief Operating Officer, Transit business of Latvia Association - "Transit and logistic sector of Latvia on the way of overcoming the crisis";
  • Aloizas Kuzmarskis, the President, Stevedoring companies of Lithuania Association - "Port of Klaipeda and its stevedoring companies in transport potential of Lithuania development";
  • Michael Smolkin, the Head of the directorate - "North-West territory regional directorate of Federal agency of state boundary's infrastructure development". 

Also there was the discussion on a topic: "The future development of port clusters on Baltic. Possibility, expectation or reality?" in which participate the expert Paul van Eulem (Director, Maritime & Transport Business Solutions), speakers of sitting about the Baltic region, as well as Yaanus Paas (CEO, EVR Cargo), Ain Kaljurand (chairman of board of directors, port of Tallinn), Eugenius Gentwilas (Director General, State Enterprise Klaipeda State Seaport Authority).
